I'm not sure how I feel about my picture up there, but
I'm going to try and be positive. You have no idea how hard that is.
Especially when you're around other girls who have low self-esteem. At one part of the Miami trip, I had to say, "Ok, no more negative body talk, we're on a trip to MIAMI!" Out of 4 girls, I was the second to largest one there, and one of the girls smaller than me wouldn't stop talking negatively about her self. At first, I chimed in with
compliments towards her. But after a while, I offered my
own complainants about myself. It was too easy to get pulled into that suction of self-pity.
This summer, I suggest, we (women and men) abstain from negative comments about our bodies, and
more importantly others! I've looked at really thin girl before and said, "
She needs a hamburger." That type of comment is like saying, '
someone should have kept their cover-up on'. Some people make fun of one type more than the other. Usually it's dependent upon your own body type.
But, I'm done with the negativity.
I know I'm working out, eating right and that's all that maters.
